Protective packaging completed for double shaft paddle mixer and screw conveyor

A custom-built double shaft paddle mixer and its accompanying fertilizer screw conveyor, destined for Malaysia, have undergone specialized moisture-proof and anti-corrosion packaging and have been loaded onto vehicles for transport to the port. Given the high humidity in Malaysia’s coastal regions and the proximity of the client’s facility to a raw-material storage yard—where the equipment might be stored outdoors for a short period upon arrival—the packaging process placed a strong emphasis on moisture and rust prevention. Prior to packaging, both units were coated with an epoxy primer and topcoat, while exposed machined metal surfaces were treated with anti-rust grease. The interior of the mixer’s mixing chamber was cleaned and fitted with desiccant bags, and the bottom access door was sealed with plastic film. The interior of the screws conveyor’s casing was wiped clean, with dust-proof caps installed at both ends and moisture-resistant paper applied to the flange faces. Desiccant was placed inside the electrical control cabinet and motor junction boxes; the junction boxes were oriented downward, with their interiors packed with moisture-absorbing cotton. Electrical spare parts and sensors were vacuum-sealed in aluminum foil bags and then placed into individual plastic containers. During loading, anti-slip rubber mats were placed beneath the main mixer unit, which was then covered with a waterproof tarpaulin secured to the vehicle’s tie-down hooks. The screws conveyor was disassembled into sections, packed into wooden crates, and positioned alongside the main unit, with the entire load secured using heavy-duty straps. The equipment was distributed across two vehicles, each accompanied by personnel tasked with monitoring the condition of the tarpaulins and straps during transit. Accompanying documentation—including installation drawings, operation manuals, records of the moisture-proof packaging, and packing lists—was placed in a waterproof folder and secured inside the driver’s cab. The vehicles have now departed the facility, en route to the port.
