Double Axis Mixer
Double Axis Mixer
The double shaft paddle mixer serves as the core component of the batching and mixing stage in organic and compound fertilizer production lines, acting as a critical, high-efficiency link between raw material proportioning and granulation. Ingredients are metered according to the formula and fed into the mixer; after a brief period of intensive mixing to achieve homogeneity, the mixture is discharged into the granulator. With its high mixing efficiency and compatibility with high-capacity granulation lines, this mixer is the standard choice for the mixing stage in organic and compound fertilizer plants with annual capacities exceeding 10,000 tons.
Mixing Process
The double axis paddle mixer operates using a high-efficiency batch process. Ingredients are fed into the mixing trough according to the formula; dry materials undergo pre-mixing, followed by wet mixing through the addition of water or liquid binders via a spray system.
Intensive twin-shaft paddle mixing cuts mixing time by more than half compared to single-shaft equipment. Once mixed, the material is discharged into a buffer hopper and transported to the granulator. For high-capacity lines, multiple mixers can be configured in parallel to flexibly match the granulation line’s throughput.
Process Advantages
High mixing efficiency and short batch times meet the feed requirements of high-capacity granulation lines.
Excellent uniformity ensures even dispersion of trace ingredients and consistent nutrient distribution in the finished fertilizer.
Versatile capabilities allow for both dry and wet mixing, accommodating various formulation processes.
The twin-shaft structure handles large volumes, offering higher per-batch capacity than single-shaft equipment of the same size.
Rapid discharge via bottom-opening twin doors ensures quick batch turnover and a tight production rhythm.
Application Scenarios
Large-scale organic fertilizer production lines (batching stage): Rapid, efficient mixing of high-tonnage materials.
Compound fertilizer production lines (batching and mixing): High-uniformity mixing of multi-ingredient formulas.
Organic-inorganic compound fertilizer production: Uniform blending of organic and chemical fertilizers.
Bio-organic fertilizer production: Rapid mixing of microbial agents and carriers; short mixing times minimize the loss of microbial viability.
Compound feed and premix production: Efficient batch mixing of diverse raw materials.
