The half-wet material crusher is a specialized piece of equipment for processing high-moisture materials after fermentation in organic fertilizer production. Fermented materials such as chicken manure, pig manure, and straw have high moisture content and are prone to clumping. Ordinary crushers often cause severe blockages, hindering normal production. The half-wet material crusher, through its special rotor structure and crushing component design, allows wet materials to pass smoothly through the machine and be broken down into uniform fine powder. This equipment is a crucial link between the fermentation and granulation stages in an organic fertilizer production line; the quality of crushing directly affects the subsequent granulation effect.

Working Principle

After entering the crushing chamber, the material is carried into the crushing zone by the high-speed rotating rotor. The crushing blades or hammers on the rotor repeatedly impact, shear, and rub the material. The material is gradually crushed between the rotor and the chamber wall liner, while simultaneously being propelled towards the discharge port by the airflow. The properly crushed fine powder passes through the bottom screen and is collected, while coarse particles remain inside the machine for further crushing. The centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the rotor throws out the wet material adhering to the blades, keeping the crushing components clean.

Applicable Raw Materials

Fermented Livestock and Poultry Manure: Fermented and clumped materials such as chicken manure, pig manure, cow manure, sheep manure, and duck manure.

Agricultural Waste: Straw, rice husks, peanut shells, mushroom residue, sugarcane bagasse, etc.

Organic Sludge: Dewatered sludge from urban sewage treatment plants, pond mud.

Industrial Organic Waste: Distillers’ grains, vinegar residue, Chinese herbal medicine residue, filter mud.

Organic Fertilizer Return Material: Large lumps after screening and return material that fails granulation.

Basic Requirements for Raw Materials

The moisture content of the material entering the machine should generally be controlled below 35%. Within this range, the material can be smoothly crushed without clogging. If the moisture content is too high, the crushing efficiency will decrease and the screen will easily clog. It is recommended to mix it with dry material or allow it to dry appropriately before feeding it into the machine.

Hard objects such as iron blocks and stones must not be mixed into the material, as they will damage the crushing blades and screen. Iron removal and screening equipment should be installed before feeding.

If the long fiber content of the material is too high, it should be coarsely crushed first to avoid the fibers entangled in the rotor and affecting operation.
