What if the pellets made by the granulator are not round enough?

The roundness of particles is a quality indicator that every factory attaches great importance to. In the fertilizer manufacturing process, the rounder the particles are produced, the higher the output, so most manufacturers regard the roundness of their products as the key content of technical research and an important indicator to measure the technical grade of a compound fertilizer plant.
The formation process of high-concentration compound fertilizer granules is as follows: starting with the small particles of Ф1~2mm in the return material, the viscosity of the powdery material and the mechanical power under the condition of the temperature of 60~65°C and the suitable liquid amount. Under rolling, the layer of particles is wrapped up to form soft particles of Ф2~5mm, and then the water gradually evaporates in the dryer, and the soft particles gradually solidify to form normal particles with a certain strength.
When granulating, the material should be made into an elliptical motion in the fertilizer granulator machine or dryer. The material should occupy 1/4 of the cross-sectional area of the cylinder, so that the materials can move through each other, rubbing each other, producing viscous, large suction and small adhesion, and sticking synthetic ball. The material should be smooth in motion, and should not be subjected to excessive impact or forced into a ball; otherwise the particles will be uneven in size.
The way to improve the roundness is to grasp the timing before the particles are uncured, so that the material can roll and rub more. In the rolling, the surface of the particles is ground and edged, and the filling is filled and the circle is rolled. Soft particles should not rise and fall vertically in the cylinder, otherwise it will easily cause deformation of the particles, resulting in non-rounding of the particles.
