In the process of fertilizer production line operation, the quality of raw materials directly affects the yield and quality of the final fertilizer. However, many companies will encounter the problem of excessive raw material impurities, such as sand, plastic, metal fragments, plant fibers, etc., these impurities will not only reduce the quality of fertilizer, but also may damage fertilizer granulator and other equipment, affecting production efficiency. So, how to effectively remove raw material impurities to ensure the smooth operation of NPK fertilizer production line?
1. Pretreatment of raw materials to reduce sources of impurities
Before fertilizer production, raw materials should be preliminarily screened. For example, livestock and poultry manure can be used to remove large impurities before fermentation, while straw raw materials need to be crushed before entering the production line to avoid excessive fiber length affecting granulation. For raw materials containing metal or plastic, magnetic separator or manual selection can be used to remove.
2. Use screening equipment to remove large particles and foreign bodies
In the process of fertilizer processing, the screening machine is the key equipment to remove impurities. For example, the roller screen can screen too large or too small particles to ensure that the raw material entering the fertilizer granulator is uniform, reducing the risk of clogging the granulator. For powdery materials, the vibrating screen can efficiently remove hard impurities, preventing subsequent processes from being affected.
3. Adjust the grinding process to improve the purity of raw materials
If the raw material contains more fibers, stones or other impurities, suitable crushing equipment can be configured in the NPK fertilizer line. For example, the chain mill is suitable for softer organic matter, and the semi-wet material mill can efficiently deal with materials with higher water content, avoiding excessive impurities that cause the mill to damage or stick.
4. Clean the equipment regularly to prevent the accumulation of impurities
During the production process, some small impurities may remain inside the equipment, affecting the life of the equipment and production quality. Therefore, enterprises should regularly clean key equipment such as shredders, mixers and granulators to avoid the accumulation of impurities leading to equipment wear or blockage.
