With the increasing demand for organic fertilizer in agriculture, more and more enterprises and farms have begun to invest in organic fertilizer production equipment. However, there are many kinds of equipment on the market, and how to choose the right organic fertilizer production equipment, which can meet the production needs, reduce costs and improve economic efficiency is a concern of many investors. When selecting equipment, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the production scale, raw material type, process flow, degree of automation and equipment quality.
1. Determine the device size
The first step in selecting organic fertilizer equipment is to determine the size of the equipment, that is, the production capacity. Different scale production needs correspond to different specifications of equipment, usually measured in annual production or hourly production. For example:
• Small organic fertilizer production (annual output of 5000-100,000 tons) : suitable for individual farms or small and medium-sized enterprises, you can choose simple compost turning machine, disc granulator, etc.
• Medium production (annual output of 100,000-300,000 tons) : suitable for medium-sized enterprises, can choose chain plate tiller, drum granulator, tumble dryer, etc., improve production efficiency.
• Large-scale production (annual output of more than 300,000 tons) : suitable for large-scale factories, it is recommended to choose equipment with a high degree of automation, such as double spiral groove pile turning machine, roll extrusion granulator, continuous drying and cooling system, etc., to ensure high yield and stable operation.
2. Select equipment according to raw materials
The main raw materials of organic fertilizer include livestock manure, agricultural straw, kitchen waste, peat, etc. The characteristics of different raw materials will affect the selection of equipment. For example:
• High moisture materials (such as chicken manure, cow manure) : need to be equipped with solid liquid separator, pile tilter, tumble dryer to reduce moisture and ensure the smooth fermentation.
• High fiber raw materials (such as straw, leaves) : the need for shredder pre-treatment, so that raw materials easier to decompose, improve fermentation efficiency.
• Sludge raw materials: need to add conditioning agents, and choose a chain-plate tiller or trough tiller to ensure adequate tilling and promote aerobic fermentation.
3. Choose the right granulation process
Granulation is an important link in the production of organic fertilizer, which mainly includes disk granulation, drum granulation, extrusion granulation and so on.
• Disc granulator: suitable for small and medium-sized production lines, easy to operate, uniform granulation, but low output.
• Drum granulator: suitable for mass production, suitable for high humidity materials, but the investment cost is high.
• Double roller press granulator: no drying, suitable for low moisture materials, low energy consumption, but the particle hardness is larger.
